Petielle is a fashion blog written for petite women, the ones shopping for outfits that fit a frame under 5’4″ without endless tailoring. While you’re here reading styling ideas and outfit roundups, a small amount of information passes between your browser and this site. This page explains what that information is, why Petielle collects it, and what control you have over it.

By browsing, reading, subscribing, or commenting on Petielle.com, you agree to the practices described below. If any part of this policy doesn’t sit right with you, the best step is to stop using the site.

A Note About Children Under 13

Petielle is built for adults shopping for their own wardrobe, and it isn’t meant for children under the age of 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone in that age group. If you’re a parent or guardian and you believe your child has shared details with Petielle, email us using the address at the bottom of this page and we’ll delete that information promptly. This site follows the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), and removing a child’s data is something we take seriously.

What Petielle Collects About You

There are two kinds of information at play here. The first is information you hand over on purpose. The second is information your device shares automatically as you browse.

Details you give us directly can include:

• Your email address, usually through the newsletter form or a contact message
• Any content you type into a comment or a message to us
• Payment or billing details, only if a paid product or service is ever offered and you choose to buy it

Details collected automatically can include:

You’re never required to give personal details to read the blog. Most of Petielle is open to anyone who wants to browse quietly.

Everything Petielle collects goes toward running a better blog. Specifically, the information helps us:

• Improve the layout, content, and outfit guides based on what readers actually read
• Respond to comments, questions, and messages
• Send the newsletter and other updates you’ve asked for
• Personalize what you see so the styling content feels more relevant to you
• Watch for fraud, spam, and misuse

Petielle doesn’t collect data for the sake of collecting it. If a piece of information isn’t helping us serve the blog or serve you, there’s no reason for us to hold it.

The Newsletter and Your Inbox

If you sign up for the Petielle newsletter, you’ll hear from us with new outfit ideas, seasonal style guides, and the occasional note about products worth a look. We send these because you asked us to, and we follow the CAN-SPAM Act, which means our emails will always identify who they’re from and never mislead you about what’s inside.

We won’t sell your email address or hand it around to strangers. It stays with the tools we use to run the newsletter, and it’s there so we can keep sending you the petite-fashion content you signed up for.

Stepping Away From Our Emails

Changing your mind is simple. Every email from Petielle carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and one click removes you from the list. You can also email us directly and ask to be taken off. If you want to opt out of a specific type of message rather than all of them, let us know and we’ll sort it out.

Affiliate Links and Commissions

Petielle takes part in affiliate programs, including the Amazon Associates program. In plain terms, some of the outfit and product links on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, Petielle may earn a small commission, and it costs you nothing extra. The price you pay is the same as it would be otherwise.

We only point you toward pieces that fit the petite styling focus of the blog. The commission helps keep Petielle running, but it never changes the price on your end and it never decides what we recommend.

Advertising Partners

Petielle may work with third-party advertising partners now or in the future. These partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies to show ads that reflect your interests based on your browsing. Petielle doesn’t control the data these partners collect through their own tools, and their practices are governed by their own privacy policies.

When We Share Your Information

Petielle doesn’t sell your personal information. There are a few limited situations where information may be shared:

When you leave a comment on Petielle, the details you provide in the comment form are stored so we can display your comment and manage follow-up discussion. Your comment and its metadata may be retained so the conversation stays intact over time.

If you interact with Petielle on social media, by following, liking, sharing, or messaging, those platforms have their own rules about the data they collect. Anything you do on Instagram, Pinterest, or similar platforms falls under their policies, not this one.

How Long We Keep Your Data

Petielle holds on to information only for as long as there’s a reason to. Newsletter details stay with us until you unsubscribe. Comments and their metadata are typically kept indefinitely so we can recognize and moderate follow-up replies. Analytics and log data are retained for a limited period to study trends. If you’d like your data removed sooner, reach out and we’ll take care of it where we’re able to.

Keeping Your Information Safe

Petielle uses reasonable, industry-standard measures to protect the information it holds against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. That said, no website or method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can’t promise absolute protection. We do our part, and we ask that you keep any account or login details you might have to yourself.
